Jan Demmer, CEO

In 2008, I founded Jalo with the vision of processing landscape wood into pellets as a sustainable energy source, helping to reduce fossil fuel dependency and contribute to the energy transition in the Netherlands. The journey was not without its challenges, as landscape wood is not inherently suitable for producing ENplus-certified wood pellets. However, in 2014, we successfully developed and patented a system that ensures ENplus quality.

Christophe Nourissier, Carbon Market Expert

Christophe Nourissier has designed and supervised biochar projects in the UK, in the US, in Slovakia, and is bringing online similar projects in Congo (Brazzaville), Benin, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mozambique and the Philippines. He also manages several green cement (no clinker) biobased construction operations and green energy projects in the EU and the US. He is the carbon advisor of RSM, the 6th largest global network in audit, accounting, and consulting.

Roel van Beusekom, Head of Regenerative Development

Roel works at the forefront of innovation and business development. As CEO and founder of Regenerate the Economy and Electriffy he helps Jalo setup and manage the carbon, regenerative economy approach. Interim Quality Manager

Carl E Leonhard, Technical Director

Experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the renewables and environment industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Business Planning, Energy, Process Engineering, and Sustainability. Strong media and communication professional with a Master's degree focused in Project Management from University of Southern Denmark.

Erik Meijberg, Financial Advisor

Erik is a public administration expert (University of Twente) with extensive experience in setting up and leading programs centered on entrepreneurship, capital, and innovation. In this capacity, he has been involved in the growth of numerous start-ups and scale-ups, and has developed incubator and acceleration programs. He is a recognized expert in ecosystem building, an expertise he has applied in recent years to help drive several societal transitions, including the circular economy, energy transition, sustainable mobility, and food. In addition, Erik works actively as an advisor on SME acquisitions, (risk) financing, and future-proof entrepreneurship.
