Future plan · to be developed
Clean hydrogen. Exploring a new route.
JALO wants to explore how a next development phase could deliver clean hydrogen for suitable industrial applications. This is a future ambition; there is no established hydrogen plant or supply capacity yet.
A next horizon for industrial energy
01
From residues to molecules
The memorandum mentions a possible modular gasification or pyrolysis extension for syngas, hydrogen or bio-based molecules. For hydrogen, gasification with subsequent gas treatment is a route to be investigated. The choice must follow from performance, customer requirements and a full feasibility assessment.
02
Clean must be demonstrated across the chain
The climate performance of hydrogen depends on the origin of the feedstock, energy use, conversion efficiency, transport and the treatment of CO₂. The qualification "clean" is a development goal here. JALO makes no statement yet about a certified product class or a realised emission value.
03
The steps before an investment decision
A first exploration must bring demand and technology together. Site conditions, permits, engineering, financing and the contracts that make realisation possible then follow.
- Investigate potential customers and their hydrogen specifications.
- Compare technology, energy and mass balance and total chain emissions.
- Assess feedstocks, water demand, logistics and CO₂ route.
- Only then take a separate investment decision.
