JALO × Your.Earth

Giving energy back to the landscape.

Through Your.Earth, JALO wants to connect the value of verified CO₂ removal to agroforestry, landscape restoration and the earning capacity of farmers in Overijssel.

An economy that also gives back.

JALO links industrial development to restoration. Your.Earth organises the step from contribution to implementation and repeatable measurement.

Proposed allocation per year

Restoration begins with the farmer.

The intended €1–2.5 million gets an earmarked destination. Implementation and release follow the final programme agreement.

01

From ESG reporting to regenerative development

The project plan goes beyond reporting on effects. The intention is to reserve a fixed amount from future carbon-credit revenue for restoration in the landscape where JALO is active. Your.Earth organises implementation, financing and evidence. This is JALO's ESG 2.0 approach.

02

A concrete contribution, under clear conditions

The addendum describes €1–2.5 million per year, from the first operational year in which credit revenue arises, for a minimum of ten years and as long as the plant remains operational. The agreement with Your.Earth is still being finalised. The contribution depends on that agreement and on realised credit revenue. It is not an amount that has already been paid out.

03

Farmers at the start of change

The programme aims to support planting, technical guidance, training and the transition to suitable agroforestry. The design includes hedgerows, tree rows, coppice, buffers and combinations of trees with arable farming or livestock. The layout is tailored to the farm, the soil, the water and the ecological starting point.

04

Measuring what actually changes

Your.Earth provides for a fixed baseline measurement and a recurring measurement cycle. Biodiversity, soil and water are monitored, where relevant, with field measurements, eDNA, hydrology and earth observation. The proposed scientific cooperation with WUR and possible involvement of NatureMetrics and Acacia Water require agreements per assignment.

05

Independence is part of the model

The governance design provides for separate programme budgets, independent decision-making, conflict-of-interest rules and annual accountability. Where affiliated parties are involved, funding must demonstrably deliver additional public outcomes. The Your.Earth programme and standard are under development; accreditation has not yet been granted.

Let's make it concrete
